Edward Pace Obituary

ODESSA Edward Eugene Pace, 80, of Odessa, Texas passed away Saturday, November 23, 2013 at Home Hospice House in Odessa.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, November 30, 2013 at 2:00 PM at Odessa First Church of the Nazarene. Pastor Terry Pierce will officiate. Services will be directed by McNett Funeral Home of Andrews.

Mr. Pace was born June 11, 1933 in Harrisburg, Arkansas to Ezra Cornelius Pace and Mamie May Baser. He married Norma Jean Stephens April 26, 1952 in Little Rock, Arkansas.

He proudly served in the US Army for 20 years. He has traveled the world, places like Germany, France, Korea, Japan, and three tours of duty in Viet Nam. Beside his military career, he had many more; he picked cotton, worked as a carpenter, played an extra in the movie "Kings Go Forth", worked as a bartender, a door to door salesman, laundromat personnel, an airplane mechanic, heavy equipment operator, security guard, painter, tractor mechanic and a caregiver to his wife of the past 61 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his nephew, Travis Pace; and his son-in-law, Evan Allen Reeves.

He is survived by his wife, Norma Jean Pace of Odessa; children Rose Mary Reeves of Cabot, AR; Harold Eugene Pace of Bisbee, Arizona; Drucilla Kay Williams of Andrews, Texas; Teresa Cook of Buckner, Missouri; brothers Phillip Pace and David Pace, both of Arkansas; sisters Joyce Cox and Louise Richardson, both of Arkansas; grandchildren, Allen Dale Reeves, Michael Dwayne Reeves, Brent Douglas Cook, Rachael Marie Cook, Sara Elizabeth Ellis, Patricia Lanette Williams, Randi Kay Williams; and great-grandchildren, Wyatt Reeves, Katelyn Reeves, Ethan Reeves, Eva Reeves, Alexa Grace Cook and Nathan Reeves.
