"Meditation before Kaddish"
"When I die give what is left of me away
To children and old men that wait to die.
And if you need to cry, Cry for your brother
Walking the street beside you.
And when you need me, put your arms around anyone
And give them what you need to give me.
I want to leave you something,
Something better than words or sounds.
Look for me in the people I've known or loved,
And if you cannot give me away,
At least let me live in your eyes and not in your mind.
You can love me best by letting hands touch hands,
And by letting go of children the need to be free.
Love doesn't die, people do.
So, when all that's left of me is love,
GIVE ME AWAY."

Dear friend Lynnet and family,
I am so sorry for the loss of Ed. When I think of strong people you guys come to mind first. Lynnet, you are capable of anything! I know you will get thru this and you have great kids who will help you. You are the model "survivor." What a beautiful example of a love story you and Ed had. So many of the good have already gone before us; I have to believe that there is a better place in heaven after this life. Please take care of yourself; and know that even tho time has passed that you will and always be a close friend; and please call if there is ANYTHING I can do for you. God Bless and keep you all close in his care. Love, mary kay
