Ed asked me to play the keyboard at Grant for one of his favorite songs. He sang out as I played, and from his heart. He may not have been on key, but it was one of the most beautiful songs I ever heard. He came to us in the power of Jesus Christ, and when he came to church, this light came with him. He would say, "we made it", when I would ask him who's we Ed, and he'd reply "Me and the Lord". Ed was the best door greeter from all the churches I have been to, and thank God, he will greet us and show us around when we get to where he is at. He was never afraid to proclaim Jesus is his Lord and Savior, and he achieved such satisfaction in leading any of us to Jesus as well.
Can we follow his example, I am going to try, for this man left a mark on me, and it is truely the Lord. God Bless you Ed, your now in the garden. Ahmen.

Although I did not know the "Pickle Man" very well, I can tell you that he was very generous and friendly. It was potluck Sunday at one of our first visits to Grant United Methodist Church and Ed gave my family a jar of his SCRUMPTIOUS pickles - and he even told us that there's more where those came from!

I was so sorry to hear about Ed. He was such a nice person. I will always remember him coming into the bank where I worked and "flirting" with all of us girls! I will also remember him in church and his great devotion to God. I'm sorry for your loss. He will be missed.
