Aunt Millie and Family~George and I can recall so many memories of Uncle Ed and your family. George's favorite is of Uncle Ed taking him on a ride on the Fire Truck he drove. How many kids can say their Uncle did that for them! He was kind, gentle, big of heart and spirit. Our condolences, thoughts and prayers are with you. We loved him and will miss him. Be strong of heart and will, that is what he would want.
Love, George and Shelly

Millie, Michael, Janet & Linda:
I've always wished I had the wisdom to know the right words to say at a time like this, but then I don't think anyone does. Mr. Ed was one of the "really good guys" and will be sorely missed by all who had the privilege to know him. I had the advantage of knowing him and Millie as my neighbors and watchdogs my entire life. My parents counted themselves so lucky to have you as neighbors as I have been just as lucky these past few years. My deepest condolences to your entire family. Please know that I am always next door and hope you will never question calling upon me if you need me as I have always known I could call upon you.
Love,
Peg Walsh

To the McDermott Family;
My deepest sympathy to your family during this time. I will always remember Eddie sitting on the firehouse bench with a cup of coffee, vibrant smile and cheerful hello. He certainly was a wonderful man who meant alot to my Dad and our family. His kindness will be missed. May your happy memories live in your hearts forever. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
