There is so much to say about so good a person. Eddie was one of the most loyal people I ever met. A great friend who loved his country, family, friends, his heritage, and the VFW Post 5216. I'm blessed to have known him. The memories of the Post and 43rd and Honore will stay with me forever. Z Bogem my friend.

Eddie, I lived next door to you until I was 20 years old in the old neighborhood, 43rd and Honore St. I was so glad to see you again at our 50th reunion of Sacred Heart grammar school. Rest in peace my friend. We will continue to pray for your soul and for all your family. Barbara Heath Smolen

Monk was one of my best softball coaches. I will never forget all those hard practices. I was bless to have him in my life. Monk I will pray that you will have eternal rest and I will pray for your family.

One the people I will always associate with the neighborhood I grew up in....Good to have known you.

Ed and I were in the same grammar school graduating class. We last saw each other at our class reunion, and at The Back Of The Yards picnic last summer. We'll miss seeing him at the next picnic, but I'm sure he'll be there in spirit, and he'll surely be in our hearts.

So fast time goes by, what a good man God gets... So sorry for your loss, the world was a better place with Monk in it. God bless your entire family and my prayers are with you all. The song 43rd street has a new meaning forever.

The few times I met Mr. Janiak he always had a big smile on his face and was so nice and friendly. Everything Michelle shared with me about her dad also let me know what a wonderful man he was. I am so sorry for your loss and I will keep the whole Janiak family in my prayers.
