Dear Hanley family,
I just wanted to let you know that you are in my heart and prayers. I know that Ed is at peace. I pray for God's mercies and tenderness to be with all of you left behind. Yours is the hardest path of all. May God bless you and keep you safe.
Sincerely
Mitch Bockman

Ed,
Though we only new for a short time, it was definately a pleasure. You had a great personality full of laughter, compassion for others and fun that went with you everwhere. We hope you have found peace and our thoughts and prayers are with your family. We were very fortunate to have known you.

Dear Hanley Family,
I am very sorry for you loss. We met Ed while he was visiting our neighbors, The Lundbergs. He was a very friendly and humorous guy. He welcomed conversation with everyone he met. When I close my eyes and think of Ed, I see his smile and hear his outwardly laugh.
My favorite Ed story to share with you, is the canoe trip of 2004. Ed for some reason did not think of sunscreen and by the end of the day, he was "lobster" red. Hence, John nicknamed him "lobster boy." He then became really good friends with - aloe vera. For the canoe trip of 2005, Ed took a group photo on his camera. The nice guy that he was, he made sure everyone got a copy. Those were fun days.
We will miss his laughter. I hope you as a family find peace. And, that Ed has now found his peace.
Sincerely,
Anita, Dan, & Emily Clare

My favorite Ed story came from when he was working part time at Sun Country Airlines. My parents were flying out to Vegas on a Saturday morning and after telling him about it he picked up a shift just to work that same morning. Before we got there he had reserved them seats for them near the front of the plane on the row where the exit door is so they have extra leg room. When we got to the airport there was a long line and after he finished up who he was checking in, he came out to the crowd and brought my parents up to the front of the line to check in like they were VIPs. My parents never forgot that and for my mom who is claustrophobic, she says that was the best flight she was ever on.

I met Ed when I started working at PeopleNet March of 2005. I will remember him not only for his humor which kept us laughing but also his willingness to help anyone who asked.
You will be missed,
Maureen

Ed,
It was good knowing you. You always smiled and said hello when you passed in the hall. I wish things could have been different for you but hopefully now your soul can finally rest. Until we pass in the hall again.

I have gotten to know Ed pretty well over the past few years, working with him at PeopleNet. Often we would talk on breaks, at functions or just at work. I had come to know a very warm caring person who despite personal tragedy & suffering always had a smile to share & would make you laugh (he has a wonderful sence of humor). I can only hope that Ed has found peace and would like to express my deepest sympathy to his family & friends. God Bless!

My deepest sympathy goes out to the Hanley family, who has already been through so much over the past few years. I had the pleasure of meeting and working with Ed at PeopleNet. He was a very hard worker and loved his family. I remember how happy he was when he came back from a Mexican vacation with his brother Marty, he loved to share stories of his vacation and travels to Europe with the military. He will be missed!
