Edward Gruba Obituary

Ed was an amazing person!He was always very kind to our family and he will be sorely missed.As silly as it sounds, Ed, the VFW,and the Turkey Bingo became part of our annual Thanksgiving tradition. He will never be forgotten. Hopefully, the happy memmories of such a good person will be some comfort to his family and loved ones.Have faith, be strong and God bless.

Our lives changed forever on the morning that you were suddenly taken from us. It's events like these that remind us just how fast and unpredictable life can be. Their are so many things that I wish I told you and so mnay more special occasions that I wish you could be there for. I really never imagined anything like this happening to you. I guess I kind of always wanted to believe that you were 'made of steel'. Your such a great person and we are all very blessed to have had such a remarkable man in our lives. I appreciate all of the love that you gave us and I miss you so much it hurts. I LOVE YOU POPIE!!

Poppie, what can I say, you have been such a wonderful person to me. You have been such a great grandfather. You welcomed us with open arms, and an open heart. I will never be more thankful to god for placing you in my life. I understand now why he picked you. I thank you for the times you have spent with me, all so much fun. You will always be in my heart, and never forgotten. You Are Truly One Of A Kind.

How can anyone start to talk about a man that had such a zest for celebrating love, laughter and life? With a smile and a laugh! All the angels better look out, he is bound to shake things up. When it comes to Daddio he did it all. His passions were family, fishing and all Veterans. For my husband Tony and myself, he was a prominent father and friend figure for the past 18 years. Whom we love with all our heart. His love of life, sense of humor and duty never ended. Audrey and Daddio have and will always be part of our family. To all of the family, especially Audrey, Julaine, Frank, Jody, Jenny, Ed, Myrna and Destiny we send our love and deepest sympathy on your loss. We will miss him greatly. I love u popie, u always talked about me at combat-do(Martial Arts school) and everywhere you went. We had many laughs, hugs and kisses together and I wish there could be more. Just listening to her speak of him currently and my memories of her kind words of him in the past, I know he is a great man. I say is because only the shell he lived in is gone from you but his spirit and dynamic personality will live in your hearts forever. We all loved Eddie Gruba, and his jokes he would always bring up with them. He always love talking about his granddaughter that was in karate and man he was so happy for her. We always talked about a lot of stuff, and most of what he said to me was prolly true, but no matter if it was true or not i think i would believe him on his words anytime. We loved to party a lot with each other and loved to try to tease andrew my finance by giving me a hug in front of him. lol.. (laugh out loud) But i will miss those good ol' times with him. i loved him very much and will always for as long as i live.
