Geistlinger, Edward J. beloved husband of Ruth (nee Kolzow), loving father of Kathryn (Robert) Kleisch, and Mark (Phyllis), dear grandfather of Suzanne (William) Ploger, Timothy and Neil Geistlinger, fond great-grandfather of Katarina and Krista Ploger. Visitation Wednesday, July 25, 2007, 4 p.m. until 8 p.m., at Lakeview Funeral Home, 1458 W. Belmont Ave., Chicago, IL. Funeral service Thursday, July 26th, at Saint Luke Church. Lying-in-state 9 a.m. until time of service 10 a.m. Interment St. Luke Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to Saint Luke Church is appreciated. For info: 773-472-6300

We were so very saddened to hear the news about the loss of your husband and father. There aren't too many of us "originals" left on Bradley Place it seems and it was always a pleasure to see you driving by with the friendly hi and wave! Although we didn't get much time to really visit,even after so many years of just living down the block from each other, we always knew that there was a certain bond and a sense of belonging with each other as neighbors. Our family will truly miss Edward & his wonderful smile. Our thoughts & prayers are with you & your family during this time.

You and your family welcomed us to the neighborhood and made us feel at home. You shared your memories (and some truly wonderful historic photos). It has been a pleasure to know you and Mrs. Geistlinger, your children and grandchildren, and to be your neighbor. We will miss you.
