babydoll, I miss you so much

Ed,my dear sweet friend. I will forever miss your friendship and you wonderful sweet smile. I learned so much from you. You had an enthusiasm and love for life that I have seldom found in others. Even with all the things you had been through there was always that smile and that positive outlook. I will always have an empty place in my heart that will never be filled but it will also be a place of love and wonderful memories. For that reason I'm not going to say goodbye, but rather until we meet again. Until that time I will love and miss you and always treasure our times together.

My heart goes out to you and to all of Ed's family and many friends who share in this loss. I know Ed would have approved of the beautiful service yesterday. It was a true celebration of Ed's love of family, friends, and life. We will always cherish that big Irish welcoming smile that lit up his face and warmed all our hearts. May God keep us all in His loving care until we meet again.

I will miss Ed. Very sweet, always happy. Very colorful- clothes, hats, personality. My only regret was that I did not keep in touch and become better friends with him. I last saw him in my office, and after the appointment, he made such a big deal about how appreciative he was for my help. What a class act.

May you rest in peace. I'm remembering that sweet young boy who carried the ring's down at our wedding 43 years ago. The last time we saw you was at Uncle Ed's funeral service. You had driven down from Chicago with the top down on your convertible and really sunburned your face. You looked great and made us feel so welcome at the celebration of Ed's life after the service. We won't forget you and your beautiful smile and wonderful caring ways.

Dear Bro: The part of my heart that you occupied for almost 50 years is overwhelmed with sadness. I know that you live on in each of our hearts and minds through our memories but not having your physical presence on earth creates such a void. You've left us with memories of many wonderful moments and I thank you for that. I'll most remember that glorious smile lighting up your entire face and the warmth and sweetness of your nature. Rest well little brother, you've earned it.

Ed – Coming back to Chicago in the summers will not be the same without volley ball up at Hollywood. You will be missed by many – you were a hug that was always there – a friendly smiling face in a crowd – that ear that would always listen. Be safe on your journey my friend! David – (EVIL)

My brother I miss you so very much already especially during the day when we would talk. You were and still are a most wonderful brother. What comforts me is that you won't have to be a "Weeble" any more. You had always, always popped back up when these things got you down. Have fun playing cards with Mom and Dad (don't let them cheat) and save a seat for me (forever long it takes). Love you very much, Cathy

I have such wonderful fun memories of Ed from our days in NYC together to moving to Chicago at the same time! He always made me laugh, was such a dear friend and just a really good guy! I am sad at his passing but my fond memories will always be with me!

I met Ed while we were both living at 525 W. Hawthorne. We both loved the summer months, sitting out in the sun and enjoying each other's company. Most recently I saw him at our Halloween party, and no matter how much time passes, he always greeted me with the biggest hug, as if we hadn't seen each other in a long time. His infectious smile and graciousness will forever live on not only in memories but also in the multitude of so many stories we each cherish.

My Dear Ed, we met for just a short time but I know we made a lasting friendship..We laughed at each other's e-mail jokes. I am sorry to lose you my friend but I know we will meet again.
