Adamczyk, Edward J., 71, of Quakertown, PA, formerly of South Chicago, and its suburbs, died August 16, 2008, at the Lehigh Valley Hospital in Bethlehem, PA. Edward retired from General Motors-AC/Delco after 30 years and was a manager in Illinois and Indiana for LaQuinta Inns for over 8 years. Born in Chicago, IL, he was the son of the late Edward and Florence (nee Syzmanski) Adamczyk. He attended Mount Carmel High School. Edward was an avid hobbyist who enjoyed stained glass, building replicas of Tall Ships, painting, sewing, home improvements and playing guitar and organ. Survivors include his daughter, Debbie (Paul) Acampora, son, Dean (Melissa) Adamczyk, brothers, Henry (Diane) Adamczyk, James (Nadine) Adamczyk and Robert (Judy) Adamczyk, grandchildren, Nicholas and Gabrielle Acampora, and many nieces, nephews and cousins. A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, September 6, 2008, at 10 A.M. in St. Victor Church, 553 Hirsch Ave., Calumet City, IL. 60409. 708-891-8920. Interment private. Edward loved dogs.
