Matt, Chris, Patty, Danny: Your Dad and I barely had 1 conversation, but he always seemed to know who I was, as part of the extended "O'Connor Company/Associates Family". I'm sure it's become cliche, but I'll say it anyway: 1000's of people owe their careers directly or indirectly to Mr. Ed O'Connor (and brother Billy) - none any more than I.
Best wishes to you all.

To the O'Connor family, I'm very sorry your loss. I still remember the sign in Ed and Billy's office years ago that read " Behold the turtle, the only time he gets anywhere is when he sticks his neck out". I can think of no other man who lived up to that credo as much as Ed. God bless Edmund J. O'Connor. Rick Novak (Gary,In)

My fond recollections date back to when the O’Connors were neighbors and friends in Deerfield. At that time I was only a kid but remember the many kindnesses of Ed, Pat, and their wonderful family. Ed was truly a light in a sometimes dark world. We send the family hugs and prayers. Cathy (Fielding) and Mark Oliver

To The O'Connor Family: I am sure there are hundreds of these stories, but I'd like to tell you mine which dates back to 1973.I decided to take a chance trading on the CBOE, and needed a clearing firm. My friend, whose Father was close to Eddie brought me upstairs to talk with him. I told Eddie, I only had $ 5000 to put in a trading account. He shook my hand, told me to be careful, and I spent the next 33 years on the exchange. They just don't make them like this anymore. Eddie O'Connor was truly a great man, and it was an honor to meet him. My sincere condolences go out to the entire family. My thoughts are with you all. My Deepest Sympathy, Marty
