Edmond LaPrad Obituary

LEICESTER- Edmond A. LaPrad, 82, of 415 Stafford Street, Cherry Valley section of Leicester, died Wednesday, September 3, 2003 in Saint Vincent Hospital after stricken with an aortic aneurysm.

Mr. LaPrad’s wife, Doris M. (Barton) LaPrad died in 1991. He leaves a son, Roger W. LaPrad of Sun City West, Arizona and a daughter, Joanne M. Tucker of Springfield, Virginia; a brother, Peter LaPrad of Auburn; also survived by several nieces and nephews and their families.

Mr. LaPrad was born in Auburn, Ma, son of the late George and Lora (Daigneault) LaPrad and had lived in Leicester for over 30 years. He previously had lived in Rhode Island for 15 years before he returned back to the Worcester area.

Mr. LaPrad had worked as a Manager of A.P. Hood Company in both Providence, R.I. and Worcester for over 35 years. He later had worked as a manager of Honey Farms for several years before he retired.

Mr. LaPrad memberships include being a member of Saint Joseph’s Church in Auburn, member of the Toastmasters and a member of the Roger Williams Masonic Lodge # 32 in Centerdale, R.I.

Mr. LaPrad’s funeral will be held on Saturday, September 6, 2003 from the Britton-Wallace Funeral Home, (brittonfuneralhoms.com) 91 Central Street, Auburn with a funeral Mass at 10 A.M. in Saint Joseph’s Church, 198 Oxford Street, Auburn. Burial will take place in Pine Grove Cemetery, Leicester. Calling hours will be on Friday, September 5, 2003 from 5-7 P.M. in the funeral home.
