Earlene Boynton Obituary

Boynton, Earlene Sanders Yates "Sandy" Passed from this life on June 22, 2013. She is not gone, only free of her physical bonds and beyond our sight. She was born December 7, 1927 grew up in Lake Forest, Illinois and married the late David J. Yates Jr. They raised their family in Arlington Heights, Illinois as members of St. James Parish and Carmel, IN. She made the desert her home in 1978 settling in Paradise Valley with F. David Boynton III from whom she was widowed in 1990, also predeceased by her sister, Gwendolyn Cox. An ardent supporter ofthe Phoenix Symphony, an Opera Dame, and Docent at the Phoenix Museum of Art she was a lover of the arts. She volunteered at Our Lady of Perpetual Help and The Old Adobe Mission. Sandy's quick wit, sense of humor and warmth made her a friend to many and entertaining companion. She was a renowned lover of animals. She is survived by her dedicated and loving companion, Bob Siedare; four children, Bobby (Terry) Ruben (husband John), Leslie Yates (partner Rich Hall), Lisa Knudson (husband Wayne) all local to Scottsdale area, David Yates of Lawrence, KS; four grandchildren; one great-grandchild; sister, Bettyanne (Sanders) Reeve (husband Roger); two nephews, all of the SF Bay Area and their three children. A Rosary (9:30AM) with Funeral Mass to follow (10AM) will be held at Our Ladyof Perpetual Help, Scottsdale on Monday, July 22.All are welcomed to call at Sandy's home into the evening. Mass has been celebrated for her by Msgr. Tom Hever, in Ireland (her neighbor). In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to, "Sandy Boynton Pet Memorial Fund" to defray cost when clients without resources need care at Sandy's vet - Saguaro Veterinary Clinic.
