Earl Durham Obituary

Durham, Earl L. Graduate of Roosevelt University and University of Chicago, Professor at U of C and U of I at Chicago. Community activist passed away October 27, 2007. He leaves behind three sons, Gerald of Ignacio, CA, Eric of Forest Park and Jody of Chicago, grandchildren, Cheyane and Jaz Durham, one brother, Caldwell Durham of Los Angeles, CA, sister, Clotilde Smith of Washington, D.C., sister-in-law, Clarice Durham of Chicago, IL, nieces, nephews and a host of friends. Preceded in death by his son, Claude Durham and brothers and sisters, Curtis Durham, Richard Durham, Marie Durham, Winifred Holland and Marie Durham. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to National Alliance Against Racist and Political Repression, 1325 S. Wabash, Suite 105, Chicago, IL, 60605 or St. Leonard's Ministries, 2100 W. Warren Blvd., Chicago, IL, 60612. Memorial Service will be held Sunday, November 4th, at 3 p.m., at St. Columbanus Church, 331 E. 71st St., Repast at Rayner & Sons Funeral Home.
