I have so many good memories of Ms. Dorothy through the 50+ years that I've known the Willis family. One in particular that made me smile this week was when Carolyn Jean and I went on one of those famous “fishing trips” with Mr. Willis, Bobby, Ms. Dorothy and, I think, their cousin Paul Everet. We were fishing off the Colorado River. It must have been my first time because when I went to cast off, the whole fishing pole flew into the river! I was so embarrassed and upset! But, Ms. Dorothy comforted me and said “don't worry about it, we have another fishing pole,” and they gave me another one to try again. That same fishing trip, Carolyn Jean and I made tacos, and they were laughing at us saying we would be the only girls who would come on a fishing trip and make tacos!! I had so much fun and I'll never forget this and many, many more beautiful memories of Ms. Dorothy and the whole Willis family from our "Corcoran Street" days. I have always thought of her as a second mother, and I will always love her! May God Bless her Memory! Pat Wilbert (Wheeler)

I still remember the times when we were kids and we would all come to Dorothy Mae's house. She always had something cooked to eat. I especially remember a few years back when I saw her at the Bank of America ATM. You know how she had that demanding way about her. I heard a familiar voice from a far say "Deanie come here and do this for me". I tried she was a little puzzled that it didn't work but it was obvious that she had attempted too many times already because it did not allow a transaction. I'll never forget her voice.
We know that no words can help ease the pain and loss that you are feeling right now. You are in our every prayer and thought.
