Sims, Dorothy (nee Balter), 91, beloved wife of the late Sol, loving mother of Barbara (Alan) Chandler and Howard (Laura) Sims, cherished nonny of Richard (Marlene), John (Jo), Amy Sue and the late Steven (Barbara) Chandler and Jennifer (Dr. Larry) Gordon, Zachary (Stacy) Sims and Jason (Beverly) Sims, adored great grandmother of Jason, Jamie, Nicole, Jessica, Samantha, Trevor, Cody and Danielle Chandler and Max, Noah and Kaden Sims, dear sister, sister-in-law and aunt of many. Chapel service 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at Shalom Memorial Funeral Home, 1700 W. Rand Road, Arlington Heights. Interment at Shalom Memorial Park. I am fortunate enough to have been able to meet my Great-Grandparents. Nonny was by far the most incredible Great-Grandmother anyone could ask for. She will always be in my heart and memories and I am going to miss her very, very much.

Nonny is by far the best Grandmother and great Grandmother we could have ever had.We will miss her a ton, but excellent memories will live on forever.I am sure that she thrilled to be back with Gramps.
