Dorothy Ross Obituary

Dorothy Anne (Goins) Ross of Indianapolis died Sunday September 13th at the age of 77.
She was preceded in death by her sister Rebecca Dillinger and her parents Dorothy Bright and Wesley Goins.
Dorothy’s surviving family members are her husband of 47 years Ronald Lee Ross, daughter Laura Faye (Ross) Elkins (Kevin), grandsons Ross Allen Bradley and Eric John Mandery; sisters Nancy Faye Beatty, Charlene Payne and Rachel Hall; nieces Kathy Wiegand; great nieces Megan Melson, Jennifer Eaden, and Micheal Justice; nephews John, Dan and Mike Faucett, David and Harry Dillinger, Allen and John Melson and Jason Payne.
Dorothy was born in Elwood, Indiana and later attended IUPUI while also attending Heron School of Art from 1958 until 1962. With her husband they owned R & R Electronics of downtown Indianapolis for 10 years, The Candy Basket located at Glendale, Lafayette and Caselton Square Malls plus one in Springfield, Ohio for 6 years and the current Electronic Rainbow since 1978. Between operating a successful electronic manufacturing company and being Nana to her grandsons and Aunt Dot to all of her nieces great nieces, nephews, and great nephews her life was full of love and joy. She will be missed by many.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday September 16, 2009 at 12pm at Flanner and Buchanan Funeral Center Washington Park North 2706 Kessler Blvd. West Drive Indianapolis, IN 46228 with calling two hours prior beginning at 10am. Burial will take place in Washington Park North Cemetery. Family and friends are encouraged to visit www.flannerbuchanan.com to sign the online guestbook and to view a video tribute.
