Dorothy McLean Obituary

McLean, Dorothy Anne (nee Rigast), Dory was born May 1, 1922, in Eureka, CA, and took extensive ballet training as a young woman. After graduating from the University of Washington, with a Bachleor of Arts Degree in Arts and Drama, Dory became a member of the June Taylor Dancers and performed on boardway in Follow The Girls. She then went on to earn her teaching certificate and taught Creative Drama beginning in 1967 at Skiles & Nicholas Schools in Evanston, IL, until her retirement in 1994. Dory died July 17, 2004, at her home in Danville, CA. Her daughter, Sue Anne McLean was with her when she died. She is also survived by a son, Michael McLean, and three grandchildren, Jack Morningstar, Brooke McLean and Daniel McLean. Graveside services will be held at Memorial Park Cemetery, (Park Section), Skokie, IL, at 11 a.m., on Thursday, July 22nd.
