To the family of Dorothy Foy.
You don't know me but Dorothy was a friend of my mother, Harriet Schwartz, who lived on Whipple St. I believe they met walking to and from church, senior citizen's clubs, etc. I was so grateful to Dorothy after my dad died in 1997. Even though my mother's memory was failing, she did remember how to walk over to Dorothy's house. She would often call me at work and tell me she was going to Dorothy's house for lunch or call me in the evening and tell me how she had spent the afternoon with Dorothy. Since I worked and lived 25 miles away, I was always so thankful that Dorothy spent time with my mother. Even though I only met Dorothy once, I did want to express my sympathy to the family.
