Dorothy Beard Obituary

Beard, Dorothy Mae Lee Age 88, of Huntley, IL passed away peacefully on October 15, 2013. She loved her large family, friends, reading, and playing bridge. She previously lived in Naples, FL, Arlington Heights, IL, and Park Forest, IL. She is survived by her eleven children, Larry, Barb (Dick) Pelz, Danny (Joanne), Michael (Nicolette), Jim (Nancy), Patty (Eric) Alander, Mary (Bob) Housholder, David (Setsuko), Sandy (Bob) Fox, Susie (Mike) Lincoln, and Bob (Trish); 30 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; many nieces, and nephews, including her god-daughter, Pam Capezio, and many friends. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 52 years, Tom Beard; her parents, John and Mae Lee; her sisters, Betty (Charles) Becker and Roberta (Richard) Cullen; and her brother, Jack (Mardell). There will be a memorial service and celebration of her life on Sunday, October 20 at De Fiore Jorgensen Funeral Home, 10763 Dundee Road, Huntley, IL from noon to 4:00 p.m., with the service from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in her name to JourneyCare Hospice Center, Woodstock, IL would be appreciated.
