Dorothy Alexander Obituary

Alexander, Dorothy (Richardson) Age 76, was called home to the Lord on November 10, 2015, after a brief illness. Her husband of 61 years, Rev. Dr. Essex Alexander, preceded her. She was a dedicated house wife and later on worked for the Girl Scouts of Chicago as a troop organizer. She was also a diligent worker for the Department of Mental Health, from which she retired from. She leaves to mourn her passing, daughters, DeCarol (Willie) Osborne, Denise (Charles) Domingue, Diane (Anthony) Llorens, Jr., Gail (Roy) Smith; and son, Essex, Jr. (Celestine); grandchildren, Anthony (Tanya), Kristen, Ryan, Matthew, Alexis, Amos, Nadia, Essence, Joelle; two great-grandchildren, Nina and Nicholas Osborne; godchildren, Reginald, Tasha and Taylor Horn; 3 sisters; and many family members and friends. Visitation is Friday, November 20, 6:00-9:00 p.m. at Leak and Sons Funeral Home, 18400 S. Pulaski, Country Club Hills, IL. Funeral Saturday, November 21 at Hazel Crest Community Church of God, 3313 Hazel Lane, Hazel Crest, Illinois 60429 (173rd and Kedzie). Wake 10:00-11:00 a.m., Funeral 11:00-12:00, interment Mt.
