Strauss, Doris Aimee (nee Hoitasch), beloved wife, eternal sweetheart, soulmate and best friend for almost 64 years of James Marx Strauss, adored daughter of the late Emil Hoitasch and Stella Hoitasch, loving mother of Richard (Donna) Strauss and Phyllis (Ben) Kaplan, devoted grammie of Emily (Adam) Crane, Joshua (Sarah) Berman, Benjamin (Julie) Berman, Robert (Kimberly) Strauss, Kenneth (Staci) Strauss and Michael (Cari) Strauss, dear great-grammie of Abigail, Simon and Natalie Crane, Jacqueline Berman, Sydney Berman, Marissa and Ashley Strauss and Alexis and Chloe Strauss. Service Monday 11:00 a.m. at Weinstein Funeral Home North Shore Chapel, 111 Skokie Blvd., Wilmette. Interment Memorial Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials in her name may be made to Cong. I was so very sorry to hear of your loss of Doris. You and Doris were so very dear to me and I will never forget how you drove all the way to Orland Park to visit me after I lost my husband. Dear Jim, Phyllis, Dick, Ben, Donna and all. Words cannot express the sincere loss I feel at Doris' passing. She truly embodied the meaning of the word "mensch". She was a blessing and she will be missed beyond reason. Our hope is that you find comfort in knowing how much she was loved by so many and how she touched all those who crossed her path. We were so very lucky to have had her in our lives. I loved her deeply and will miss her always. Craig's and my heartfelt condolences. Love, "Joanie" & Craig
