Doris Hartz Obituary

Hartz (Yandel), Doris May passed away at Provena St. Joseph Medical Center, Wednesday, October 31, 2007. Age 84 years. Survived by two sons, Michael (Sharon) Hartz and Steven (Diane) Hartz; six grandchildren Shelley, Debra, David, Joe, Amanda and Christine; seven great-grandchildren; two brothers, Bud Yandel and Walter (Joan) Yandel. Preceded in death by her husband, George Hartz (1993); and her parents, Edward and May Yandel. Member of St. Edwards Episcopal Church and former chairwoman of the Alter Guild. Order of the Eastern Star. Retired from Justice School District 109. Funeral services will be held at the Carlson-Holmquist-Sayles Funeral Home, 2320 Black Road, Joliet, Saturday, November 3rd, at 10 a.m., Rev. Kathryn L. White officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the American Cancer Society will be appreciated. Visitation will be held Friday, from 2 to 8 p.m.
