Doris Dickson Obituary

Dickson, Doris J. 90, at rest on July 18, 2009 at her home in Lake Geneva, WI, beloved mother of Lorna Propes (Judge Ronald Himel, Ret.), proud and devoted grandmother of Shari Martensen, Frank (Naomi) Himel, James Himel, and Lauren Himel, great-grandmother of Eva, Jeri, Anthony, Sidney, Samantha, Georgia, and Charlie, cherished daughter of the late Margaret Call. She was preceded in death by her former husband Joe Propes. Born in McKinney, TX on October 28, 1918, she moved as a young child with her mother, living and working in the Chicagoland area until retirement in 1996 after 19 years with Canfield's Beverages. Upon retirement she moved to Lake Geneva, where she was active in the United Methodist Church, the Town and Country Garden Club and was president of the Women's Club of Lake Geneva. Visitation Monday, July 20 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. with funeral service immediately following at Steinke Funeral Home, 515 Center Street, Lake Geneva, WI. Memorials to the Lake Geneva United Methodist Church, 912 Geneva Street, Lake Geneva, WI 53147 will be appreciated.
