Donna McGrath Obituary

McGrath, Donna M.

Donna M. McGrath 1944 - 2024

Donna McGrath was an amazing friend, sister, aunt and great aunt. She was funny, creative, candid, and a wonderful storyteller. She had a natural gift for deepening relationships. Donna's gone now, brought down March 9 by chronic lung difficulties. We're going to have to learn to live without her, though always drawing on what she gave us.

Donna was born to John A. McGrath, and Georgia E. (Norviel) McGrath in Columbus, Ohio, October 22, 1944.

Donna graduated from Bishop Watterson High School in 1962, The Ohio State University in 1967, Columbus College of Art and Design in 1976. She then moved to Chicago in 1977 and fell in love with the city living in Rogers Park for the last 30 years. She worked at The American Medical Association from 1981 to 1991 and at Rand McNally from 1991 to 2009.

Donna is preceded in death by her parents, her sister-in-law Janet Jacobson McGrath, and her nephew Brendan McGrath.
