Though the years may come and go, each season throughout is a constant reminder of nature's constants and changes. This is so with the memory of my friend Earl's wife, Donna. She touched the lives of so many, in different ways, like the tulips in spring, she warmed our hearts and gave us joy to be around her. Her spirit at this time is returned to us like the tulips budding from the ground right now.
I smile today thinking of her.

Thanks Mrs. Bell for having the patience and perseverance to reach Kristin while going through her formative years in District 162. Because of you she became a better student. I'm certain your work here was rewarded!

I wished we had lived closer and could have visited more often because I just know we could have become very good friends and had some interesting conversations. We still think about Donna and I liked her spunk. We love you too Sonny and you were blessed to have her.

Mrs. Bell was my 6th grade teacher in the late '60s so I never knew her as Donna. She was an exceptional teacher and was behind a special creative writing course I was privileged to participate in. She was very supportive of people's talents and even though it's been almost 40 years since I've seen her, she still guides me.

SORRY TO HEAR OF YOUR LOSS AND EVEN IF I DIDN'T KNOW HER VERY WELL I LIKED HER AND HAVE ONE SPECIAL MEMORY OF HER THAT I WILL NEVER FORGET. OUR PRAYERS ARE WITH YOU AND YOUR FAMILY. BUCK AND MICHELLE - CHESAPEAKE VA.

Dear Mr. Bell,

When my mom informed me about Mrs. Bell, all I could think is that it's been so long since I've seen her and you. How now I long to tell her where I am now, a professor, planning to begin my PhD in sociology in the fall, and I think about how the two of you had so much faith in me before I even understood the potential I had. Both of your dedication to me, as a young girl, has stayed with me all these years. Thank you for being amazing. Mrs. Bell, I thank you for being my teacher.
Love and gratitude,
Ola

Dear Earl, I have just finished reading all of the lovely tributes to Donna. I knew Donna first and foremost as your upbeat, cheerful, cheerleader wife! But I know she was so much more! It is clear that she was very, very special to so many people, not the least of which the students she influenced during her long teaching career. Russ and I send our deepest sympathy. I look forward to sharing my condolences in person on Saturday. You are in my prayers. Mary Lee

Sonny,
I am so sorry to hear about Donna's death. Seems like only a few months ago she and I had a long conversation on the telephone to catch up on things.
She was such an upbeat person and it was a privilege to know both of you at MHC and WFU and to keep in touch during the past years.
Jerry and I will be thinking about you during this time.

Dearest Earl and. Tim..... We are dumbfounded by the news of Donna's passing. Saddened by the seperation of the "unit". Words can't express my sorrow, nor put understanding to yours. 39 years I had the pleasure of knowing this wonderful, funny woman. What an honor! Our heartfelt love and prayers through this surreal time of grief.

Sonny,

It was very saddened to read that Donna has died. What a sweet, sweet "girl." That's how I will always remember her. You redheads were a special couple that I considered dear friends even though years and distance separated us after college. You will be in my prayers.

Earl

Our condolensces. We'll always remember the fun times we've spent together and the laughs we've shared. Donna will be missed by all of us. She was one of the very first people I met when I arrived at Huth. It was a 6th grade parent orientation before I actually worked at Huth. We laughed together then and we will always cherish her laugh. Her Clucky story was the best. With love.

Donna was one of the high points of my working at Huth. Her laughter was infectious. She was such a wonderful combination: prim, proper and imp. The Christmas salad supper and Huth retirement group will not be the same without her.

Dear Earl and Tim,
I came to know Donna years ago when we began to attend aerobics in the pool at the health club. Through chats in the hot tub, long luches and locker room visits, I came to know you two and of course Dina and Alan. She loved you all so much. There will be a void in that pool for months to come.
Dear Donna is no longer suffering and that must be the focus of your grief. There are so many good memories!

Fondly.

Dear Sonny,
Roy and I were deeply saddened to hear of Donna's passing. I regret not having the opportunity to get to know her more closely, but the distance between our families did not make that possible. It was always special to spend time together at Bell family reunions and realize what a great group of individuals exist within the Bell family. May you know that our prayers are with you during this time of bereavement. Love, Roy and Ann

Dear Earl,
I have really enjoyed getting to know Donna while we spent time at water aerobics. Our favorite place to chat was the whirl pool. There I heard all about her wonderful family. She loved all of you so much. Being a grandmother meant a lot to her.
Everyone at the pool could say only wonderful things about her. She was a dear, considerate woman who was an endearment to everyone. She will be greatly missed.
Fondly,

Lynne Dillard
