My thoughts and prayers are with you in your time of grief. May your memories bring you comfort.
Everett Hills, MD
April 9, 2008
As a young NU graduate student who lived in the carriage house on Sheridan Road (1980-82), Don and Phyllis were two of the most wonderful people I have ever had the fortune to know. Memories of working in the yard, picking Don and Phil up at O'Hare, caring for Buffy and Bubbles, and just living in view of Lake Michigan brings a smile and a misty-eyed sense of fondness and pleasure. I have a place in my heart where I often retreat to remember their kindness and generosity. I can still hear their West Virginia accent, their laugh and zest for life, and Don's love for the game of golf. Don and Phil left an indelible mark in my life and made my time in Evanston one of my most treasured memories. To Steve, Jeffery, and Susan, may your memories of your parents always bring you pleasure and comfort and the knowledge that they touched so many lives.
