Mary and I are very sorry to hear of the passing of Don. I enjoyed and learned a lot being on the City Council with him for many years. He was a wonderful person

Thanks for always being a bright spot in my childhood. The weekends at the farm in Wisconsin, the airplane rides, the player piano and teaching me how to dance when I was 12. You were always so much fun. Love you forever. Ellen Campion Schwertfeger

Don and Mary Rose were dear friends for many years, and we have so many happy memories. They were both so much fun. We respected Don in all his dealing with the City of Rolling Meadows, and admired his honestly and integrity enough to have him handle all our family legal issues.
Don and Mary were true love and dedicated to each other. It was lovely to see, and we feel privileged to have had Don in our life.

Donald will always have a place in my heart. He was my mentor and he and Mary were special friends, through many different good and not so good times. Good fishin Donald in heaven with Henry!

On behalf of the family of Roland J. Meyer, I want to extend my sympathy to the Rose family. My father & Don were both former Marines and together they served the City of Rolling Meadows for many years. I remember Don from my childhood - I was a classmate of James (then known as Jamie) - and to this day I recall birthday parties in the house on Magnolia Drive and the room with the black & white checkered floor and the player piano. I know from experience that it's hard to lose your father, but remembering good times and great memories helps ease the pain. Please know that others are thinking about you and keeping you in their prayers. May Don rest in peace. He was a wonderful man.
