From Becky at lexington of Orland park. I am truly going to miss " my donny boy" My heart would just melt when he would talk about my new baby hoping he was a little girl, lol I miss him so much already. I will remember his big heart and big bear hands. To the Krause family, you guys are such awesome people. May god bless everyone of you! He is now together with his one and only. May your family continue to be strong and celebrate the life of both mom and dad. Take care Love Becky

I did not have the privilege of knowing Donald E. Krause personally.I do have the honor and privilege of once having served in the 82nd Airborne Division. Albiet at much later time than Trooper Krause for me it was 1974-1977. I owe Trooper Krause an enormous debt of gratitude. His valient service in World War Two provided my generation and others the opportunity to grow up in freedom. His service in World War Two set the standard for his fellow troopers of future generations to follow. I had a more succesful career in the Army because of men like him who as paratroopers and pathfinders led the way to freedom and achievement.
His legacy of distinguished service lives on.
To his friends and family you have my deep sympathy.

From all of us at R.W. Collins Co, our deepest sympathy to the family on the passing
of our original employee in 1946. As the driver of our lowboy, he needed nerves of steel
to move big excavating equipment on the streets of Chicago. His years as a paratrooper must have
prepared him well. But even more than as a driver, we remember him for his good humor, kindness &
outgoing, warm personality. We will miss you, Mouse!
