Donald,

After attending your wake and funeral, I believe you had a gift. A special way of bringing people together. Regardless of their race, ethnic background or income level. Everyone there had something amazing in common...YOU!

Thank you for becoming a friend. Thank you for helping me realize what is important in life and more importantly, giving me the realization that one person truely can make a difference in the world. You taught me that ignorance is the true handicap and I will never underestimate again.

You may have physically been short, but you stood taller than anyone I have ever known!

Dear Dan and Kim We are so sorry to hear of your loss, you and your family our in our prayers. Please if you need anything just call.

My thoughts and prayers go to all that knew Donnie. Donnie was a special person, a good friend, and all around GREAT person. He could always make one laugh on the saddest of days, that will alwaqys be remembered. Donnie my friend my you rest in peace. Ypu will be forever missed!!

I just have to say that I'm glad we reconnected after many years. We shared lots of laugh these past few months. I pray that you family be comforted with GODS GRACE durring this time.God Bless

Donnie, you will be missed. I know that you are better off where you are than we are here. I am reassured that you are able to do everything you ever dreamed of (by the way, don't run over anyone as I'm sure you have found a sportscar or two) You brought so much to the lives of everyone you met. I am thankful for our friendship. Dorothy, thank you for being such an incredible example of love and strength. I am praying for you all during this time. Love and prayers to all of you.

My heart goes out to you Gin, as well as the rest of Donald's obviously loving family. I was honored to watch your love for Donald and his for you, blossom. The unconditional love you two had for each other was so heartfelt and the smiles on your faces were beautiful. I know he loved you so very much Gin and was so thrilled that you loved him with your whole heart. I have loved getting to know his family with pictures and stories he shared and I am so glad that you were able to share these past 3 years with him. He was truly a wonderful man and I just pray that your memories keep you strong and bring you peace. I will think of him with a smile every time I see an eagle. Auntie Ginger and my Frannie. I love you both dearly and even never meeting Donald I know he shared unconditional love and humor and made this world a better place for the both of you just knowing him. He leaves with you and all others who knew and loved him a legacy of love, humor and in the face of others ignorance grace and dignity. Keep him in your hearts and prayers as he will now be another guardian angel for the both of you. He now is in all his grace. Love and hugs to you both.

Dearest Hayes Family My heart is aching for all of you. Donny was such a great and funny man!!! I was always laughing when I was around him!!! The world has lost a great star and now he is resting in paradise w/other family. My sincerest and heartfelt codolences to all of you.

Chance made us cousins, choice made us friends. I miss you more than you will ever know. Grieving from a far, praying for peace to Aunt Dorothy, Ginger and family. You we're one of a kind. RIP until we meet again.
