Aprati, Donald Age 69. School Board President of Bloom Township High School District 206. Lifelong Chicago Heights resident, graduate of Bloom High School Class of 1964. Awarded B.S. in Education and M.S. in Education Administration Principal Certificate and Superintendency Certificate from Northern Illinois University. Prior to his retirement in 2006, Don served Chicago Heights School District 170 for 37 years, as Teacher, Dean of Boys, Principal, and Assistant Superintendent. After retiring, he worked as an ESL Instructor at Prairie State College and a Principal Mentor for the State of Illinois/South Cook County Intermediate Center. Husband for 49 years of Barbara (nee Apponi); father of Lisa Aprati and Brian (Michelle) Aprati; proud "Papa" of Skylar, Kendelle, Noelle, Kellsey, Isabella and the late Philip and Victor Aprati; son of the late Marie (nee Wycykal) and Joseph Aprati; brother of Mary Ann and the late Joseph J. (Debbie) Aprati; beloved uncle and dear friend of many. Don's tireless work and advocacy for the students of the Chicago Heights area will forever be appreciated and remembered.
