Don Hefner Obituary
Don was an Air Force veteran. He retired from Naval Ordnance of Louisville after more than 20 years of service and from Kentucky Air National Guard with over 25 years of service. Don was a Kentucky Colonel and a member of Abraham Masonic Lodge #8.
Don is preceded in death by his parents, Robert & Gladys Hefner.
He is survived by his children, Greg Hefner (Kellie) and Holly Hefner-Zeitz (Brian); grandchildren, Brandy Von Bleicken, Heather Zeitz, Mara Zeitz, Kristie Zeitz, Kellie Zeitz, Sean Hefner, and Colin Hefner; and brother, Gary Hefner (Eva).
A funeral service to honor the life of Don will be 10am on Saturday, June 15, 2013 at Evergreen Funeral Home, with entombment to follow in Evergreen Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 2-8pm on Friday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be directed to American Red Cross.

I lost my best friend , He taught me a lot when we were in the Air Force, and through the rest of our lives. I will miss him tremendously

A great friend for over 50 yrs. we are truly saddened of his passing so early he will be greatly missed and those long conversations and Don just being Don. Deepest sympathy to all his family, I know their hearts are heavy in Jesus name , Lord wrap them in your everlasting arms with your love, peace and strength, amen.
