Rest in Peace Dom. I am so sorry that we didn't get to meet here but I look forward to meeting you in Heaven. I feel as if I knew you from all the photos your beautiful Lil has sent to me. Wish I could have enjoyed some of the fabulous meals I know you cooked for family and friends. May God send angels to comfort your beautiful wife and family who are grieving so from your loss. From your photos I could tell you were a real 'Italian Stallion' in your day. Heartfelt Sympathy. I love you Lil. Marcella

To the Tassone Family,
My father Mike Invergo grew up on 2910 Lowe and I remember growing up after we moved to Chicago Heights, him talking about the Tassonne and Frank Invergo so somehow we are related thru Marriage. My father's mother was Carmella Cardella. and my cousin is Anthony Passifume. Would love to connect, I am so sorry for your loss, it is so hard, my Dad is gone 24 years now. Know you all are in my prayers, they are with OUr Lord now Feasting at His Table. We will all be together again. God Bless...Theresa Invergo Siegert [email protected]

Dominic you were a grandfather to my son when he had none. You were a dear stepfather to me and made sure I had beautiful flowers at my wedding. You were very generous and always hospitable to my family when we would visit and even when we overstayed our welcome. Thank you for all you did for me and my family, Dominic. I will miss having afternoon coffee and sweets with you. We will always talk about all the meals you cooked us and all the times you made us laugh and your wonderful spaghetti red wine meat sauce with sausage and neck bones and all the great stories about working for the City of Chicago and your Bridgeport stories and your family from Calabria. You are in our hearts forever never to be forgotten and always to be spoken well of. Love, Doug, Toni and Dov

Dad,
You always liked to remind me that I was your namesake and that was something special.
I was always amazed by the amount of jobs that one person could hold: park district horticulturist, contractor, educator, author not to mention policeman, zookeeper, barber, mason, etc...
You were up at dawn everyday and began "puttering around" on projects small and large.
You always seemed happiest working on something, building this or fixing that, which inspires me to this day especially since you never complained about it.
I'll never forget all that you did to help make our house a nice place to live...you showed me how to take care of a home.
You taught me alot.
I got so excited to go with you in your workshop and watch you fixing things; you reminded me to make sure to have the "right tool for the job."
I'll never forget all the time we spent together on on landscape projects across Chicago, pitching them, making the estimates, picking-up the materials all the way in Kankakee or the lumberyard and then putting it all together...
...and the routine stop for coffee and donuts from Ed's Snack Shop: one sugar, one cream.
The taxidermy was different but still interesting to a curious kid like me.
I suppose your interest in science and library of books that you shared always fascinated me...and still does.
It was fun to teach you how to use a tool, the computer to make flyers, ads and organize your business.
I learned so much from you Dad, but most of all I enjoyed spending time with you.
Ti voglio bene,
Dominic
