Prior to moving to Phoenix, we ate dinner at Highview most Friday nights as well as breakfasts on the weekends. Our old neighbor Laura let us know that Jimmy had passed away. We knew he was ill before we left. We wanted you to know how much we liked Jimmy. He added a friendly and personal touch to our many meals. We will come to Highview when we are back in Villa Park to visit, but it won't be the same without Jimmy to visit with. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all.

I have worked at HiView for a year and a few months now... times spent getting to know an exceptional man. Jimmy made each and every individual feel speical in his own way, and made the resturant a cheerful well oiled machine with his determination and truely beautiful personality. I love you Jimmy, and you will always hold a place in my heart, and may your voice be forever indellible in our minds. Each day will forever bear the pride and honor of being truely touched by such an incredible man. My Deepest condolences to Patty, Nick, Anthony, George, Chris and the remainder of the family - We love each and every one of you like our own.

My family has been going to Hi View since I can remember, and it has become a family tradition to go almost every Friday night and Sunday after church. My mother goes once a week with her coworkers and we joke that my father should pay rent since he often meets clients and friends there. Hi View has become our "Cheers" of sorts because it is the place where "everybody knows our name". Home cooking? Naw, when we are feeling like comfort food, we have our favs from their kitchen rather than Mom's. Jimmy's infectious smile will be missed

I worked for Jimmy for 13 years from 1980 to 1993. He was more of a brother to me than a boss. I am sadden to hear of his passing and I know he will be watching over his family. My condolences to all of his loved ones. God Bless you Jimmy.
