I happened to be looking at the Sun-Times, and noticed the name of Dennis Simmons. It was familiar, so I checked the name of his wife. She turned out to be an old friend.---First of all, I want to extend my sympathy to Donna, her children and all the family. I don't know what happened to Dennis, but I am sorry he had to leave at such a young age. I am not surprised to see that Donna and Dennis remained together after all these years. Even at a young age, Donna seemed to know that Dennis was the right guy. I guess she was right! Donna, do you remember me? I worked with you at Motorola in or around 1961/62. We were both in personnal records together. When I transferred to I.B.M., you took over my job. (which I taught to you). We became good friends, I visited your home once, but over the years we drifted apart. ------I am truly sorry for your loss. I have enclosed my e-mail address if you want to write to me. Love, Judy Borgardt

My deepest sympathies to the family.
I had the pleasure of dealing with Dennis thru his job at Admo. He will be missed by all. I will miss the phone contact that I had with him over the years. I know that in my heart he is in a better place and not having to suffer many long months or years with his illness. So now everyone has another angel looking out for them. May the pain in your hearts ease with time.

The last thing you said to me was, "when people die, they are forgotten." And I told you no, they are never forgotten, they are always in your heart and all the good memories are first and foremost in their minds. We will never forget you, Dennis, but will always remember sitting on the porch, talking and the laughter we shared. Sharing our children's weddings. Now you can sit and talk with Ray and everyone else who went before you. What a grand reunion you are having. You will be missed but never forgotten. You were a great neighbor for all those years on Overhill.
Peace, Sandy and family
