MY DEAR BROTHER DENNIS, TODAY IS SUCH A HARD DAY FOR ALL OF US WHO LOVED AND ALWAYS WILL LOVE YOU. WE ARE SO USED TO SEEING YOU BE THERE TO HELP MOM NOT ONLY ON THE HOLIDAYS BUT EVERYDAY. I FEEL SO EMPTY WHEN I WALK IN AND DONT SEE YOU. MOM IS SO VERY LONELY WITHOUT YOU. COULDNT SLEEP INSTEAD I LOOKED AT PICTURES OF THE GREAT TIMES WE ALL SHARED. EVEN THOUGH WE ALL KNOW YOU ARE IN A BETTER PLACE, WE KNOW YOU WERE IN NO WAY READY TO LET YOU GO. I HAVE BEEN SO BLESSED TO HAVE HAD YOU IN MY LIFE. SO MANY TEARS CONTINUETO FALL WHEN WE REALIZE YOU ARE GONE I WILL NOT SAY GOODBYE INSTEAD UNTIL WE CAN BE TOGETHER AGAIN I LOVE YOU AND I MISS YOU

Dennis, my dearest brother. Tonight I sit here knowing that tomorrow marks a year that we sat at your bedside having to say goodbye. As Janet sang Danny Boy and we watched you close your eyes. With every last breath you took we surrounded you with LOVE. The one thing we knew for sure is you had family up above. They say time heals all wounds but there is not a day goes by that we don't stop to think about a memory or a moment that we cry, A song we hear in church at times as we try to wipe our eyes. Or I walk in mom's house and say 'hey Den.......' and realize. I believe your now an Angel sent from above to watch over us. Alex sees your picture and remembers how he nicknamed you coo coo and you use to flip him upside down. The Kids all miss and love you so. I LOVE you and Miss you terribly but know your with our DAD

As tomorrow marks the one year mark you were taken from us my heart cannot bare. With each memory, let our hearts be reminded that nothing can ever take away the beauty we have known, for love remains a part of us forever. Dennis has left behind a thousand moments that will live in our hearts forever. So in times of heartache, when the hurt gets really bad, look to your faith, hold close every memory, embrace all the beauty that remains, and remember, nothing can ever take the precious moments away. Some people come into our lives and quickly go, some people stay for awhile, leave footprints on our hearts, and we are never, ever the same. We are all thinking of you Uncle Dennis / Uncle Cuckoo. Thank you for the good times and the invaluable memories. You’ll always be in our hearts, in our minds, and in our prayers. I can’t find the words to say how much we all miss you. No one can ever take your place. Your image in my heart will never erase. As you smile on me from up above my mind is still sad but my heart is filled with love. I love you dear Uncle Dennis you meant the world to me. You passed through glory’s morning gate, walked in paradise, now sleeping with Angels, and living with God. The memories you left behind will comfort us until we meet again. You will always be loved and never forgotten!

The Day God Took You Home
In tears we saw you sinking,
And watched you pass away.
Our hearts were almost broken
We wanted you to stay.
But when we saw you sleeping,
So peaceful, free from pain,
How could we wish you back with us,
To suffer that again.
It broke our hearts to lose you,
But you did not go alone,
For part of us went with you,
The day God took you home.

The phone call that would change our lives forever seems like just yesterday, yet it feels like you have been gone forever! I miss you so much Dennis...we all do. You touched the soul of everyone of us in a different and unique way. Your heart was as big as the sun, and in some way or another you helped each and everyone of us with something. You were Mom's right hand, and now you are her angel. There are many things you helped me with throughout my life, but who knew when you left that you would teach me a lesson that would change my life forever! I realized that you lived everyday like an adventure. There's one that everyone will remember, jumping off the roof into the pool. I would always say to you, "Dennis you're gonna hurt yourself". You would always reply with the same answer, "we all gotta die someday". You are right my dear brother, which is why I decided to change my life and live each day as an adventure, because we are never promised tomorrow. Thank you for teaching me something that helped me change my life in a more positive, healthy & happy way. You did what made you happy, you were carefree and you paid no mind to what anyone thought because your heart was so big. Thank you for everything, you have changed my life for the better by just being you! I Love You & Miss You Immensely!!! <3

As I sit here trying to think of something to write I find myself lost for words. So I came across this poem that fits just right.

I can not find the words to say

Exactly how I feel.

That truly describes the hurt inside,

For I know your pain is so real.

Your heart, so heavy, with so much pain,

for the empty loss inside.

The tears fall down like falling rain

That never seems to subside.

It's very hard to say "goodbye",

To the one you loved so much.

But if you go to God in prayer,

You'll feel His sense of touch.

Think of your sorrows calmly,

when daylight turns to night.

Go tell it all to Jesus,

For He will make it right.

He's always there to listen,

When your grief, to Him, you give.

You'll feel the burden lifted,

And again, your life you'll live.

You will live on in the hearts and memories of your family and friends. I am glad our families are so close. What a blessing that has been since we were born the same week less than a year apart. Also,I know in the meantime, we will visualize you in our dreams until we reunite.
Love always,

To my dearest brother whom I already miss so much, thoughts of you are on my mind and in my heart constantly as I continue to greive the loss of your physical being here on Earth. I know your soul is in a better place, but as Natalie said, "It's not fair, I want him here!". I'm still having a hard time accepting the fact that you are gone, we all are! It was just Saturday night, 2 days after your passing, that Carol and I were in the basement and realized a few bulbs were out. She called upstairs to have someone bring a few down, and the name she called was yours! She said, "Dennis we need some lightbulbs down here". It was just automatic, we called on you so much for so many things. You were always there when anyone needed you. From putting a motor in a car to changing a light bulb, you've helped so many people in so many ways, you were a blessing to all. I'm sorry we didn't tell you enough when you were here. I love you always, and one day will see you again! To everyone who reads this, be sure to thank the people in your lives for even the littlest things they do. It matters to the ears that hear the appreciation. Thank your teachers, your babysitters, your mom, your dad, your kids, the person that bags your groceries or the person that works on your car. Thank you is a simple phrase that touches the hearts of all! I THANK YOU for reading this!! <3

To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.

Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."

It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man.

God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.

When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.

I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.

There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.

If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.

So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.

And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.
