Dear Claire,
I met Dennis first as a Client, and then he became a friend. Then my wife, Danielle and I , met you. Two people we will always remember. We hoped and prayed that he would pull through, but that was not to be. He will be sadly missed. See you at the Memorial Service on the 21st.

We are the Rodrigues family from Kettering UK.
We came to know Dennis briefly during the aborted Raffles St Lucia project. Not only did Dennis come over as an honest man, he actually rang us several times to reassure us that our investment in his project was safe and eventually rang us to say our money was refunded in full. This honesty is a beacon of hope to all who trust in others. We are so sorry to hear that Dennis has passed away .We know he is now in the presence of our Lord. Our prayers are for his soul and his family.

He had been on our minds over the last few weeks and many times I thought I should call and check in. It breaks our hearts to hear of this very sad news...because of him the value of St. Lucia as a #1 investment and destination capital came to being. R.I.P. Dennis, we will miss you dearly.

Dear Claire,
I shall always remember the first time that I met you both down here in St. Lucia. It was on a saturday morning, not too long after you had bought the Estate. I'd gone into the Cap office to collect a survey plan of some plot of land of which I was doing a valuation, when Dennis came in, introduced himself, and we started talking about Cap Estate and its history. About an hour later he called you on the phone, and said you must come down and meet me, as "This Guy knows everything there is to know about Cap" His exact words were rather more 'colorful' which so well reflected the man, as were his flattering exagerations of me which were in keeping with his generous nature. Years later we would meet when you both visited the Inner Gallery in Rodney Bay next door to my offices.
Memories are things we hold to and live with as we get older - ours of Dennis will long be cherished.
Our thoughts are with you at this time.
Yours,
Jonathan Everett.

Dennis was small in physical stature but was indeed a giant of a man in respect of his humility, generousity and passion for life. He was a true friend of Saint Lucia, who invested generously in its development and was unstinting in his quest for excellence. We will miss him dearly. May God continue to bless Claire and the rest of his family and may they all be comforted by the support of friends and family and the cherished memories of Dennis.

Claire-
This is very sad news. We discovered over our time in St. Lucia that Dennis was a very gentle soul who tried mightily - but unsuccessfully - to hide that gentleness behind a gruff exterior. He was also a singular force for good on St. Lucia, reviving Cap Estate, creating beautiful communities and bringing jobs to many people who greatly needed them.
We will miss him.

I will always remember Dennis for the action he took when he heard of my father's death some years ago. Dennis sent me a sympathy card to say that he was having a series of Masses said for my father. That act touched me and told me a lot about who Dennis really was. I will never forget him and in turn will have a series of Masses said for him - Rest in Peace Dennis.
Claire, Susan joins me in wishing you and your family our sincere condolences.

Dear Nardoni Family Friends & Colleagues,
On behalf of myself and the entire Elite Island Resorts team, I am very sorry to hear that Dennis has passed away.
I have many good—and frequently humorous—memories from my meetings with Dennis in Florida and the Caribbean over the years.
I had the good fortune to work with Dennis and his team on projects in St. Lucia and Orlando, Florida.
What sticks out most in my mind is Dennis's down to earth nature and dry sense of humor. He was also an extremely intelligent man, who asked a lot of questions, listened intently (even when you thought he wasn't), and held his partners and associates to a high standard.
I never met anyone quite like Dennis. I know he overcame tremendous and adversity and tragedy throughout his life, succeeding despite the odds. Entrepreneurs and personalities like Dennis are very hard to come by.
All our best to Dennis's friends, families, and colleagues.
Sincerely,
Larry Basham

I have had the pleasure of working with Dennis on a professional basis over the last ten years. In that time, he became a friend and someone that I have the greatest respect and admiration for. He was a generous and kind person who saw the good in people that worked for and with him, sometimes to his own financial detriment. He often made the joke that he was a millionaire when he first came to Saint Lucia, but after investing heavily in Saint Lucia, he is no longer so well endowed.
Dennis remains one of Saint Lucia's best and most significant investors, and his legacy of development will remain with us forever. He was respected by politicians of all stripes, and has shown more patience and understanding than most, because of his genuine love for Saint Lucia.
He loved children, and always enquired about my grandson, Jalen, who lives with my wife and I. We had many similar life experiences.
I extend sincere condolences to Claire and his family, and hope that they will continue to spend time in Saint Lucia even though Dennis is no longer with us. His infectious humour and warmth will be sorely missed, especially by his family, and by his golfing buddies.
Rest in peace Dennis. You deserve the best.
