Dennis Johnsen Obituary
Dennis Johnsen, 75, passed away on November 18th from complications following a stroke. Barbara Johnsen, 69, passed away on November 19th after an almost 8-year battle with cancer.
Dennis and Barbara are survived by their five children: Joshua (Margaret), Jason, Jill, Zeke, and Zoe (Illias), and nine grandchildren: Halley, Jacob, Mia, Sophia, Nina, George, Leo, Fritz and Telly. Dennis is also survived by his brother James Johnsen, and Barbara by her siblings: Kenneth Felton, Melinda Alekna and Deborah Lorden. Dennis was preceded in death by his parents Fritchof and Gertrude Johnsen (Tiemersma), sister Marguerite and brother-in-law Wayne Boerema and Barbara by her parents Wesley and Florence Felton (Conwill).
A celebration of their lives will be held on Saturday, December 2, 2023, at Beverly Ridge Funeral Home located at 10415 S. Kedzie, Chicago, IL, from 3:00pm to 8:00pm, with a service at 7:00pm.

It is very difficult to find the right words when two wonderful people left their earthly life just hours apart. I understand how difficult this is for you. Please accept my deepest condolences. Your parents were devoted to each other and to all of you and your children. May they have blissful joy at the heavenly banquet awaiting one day the reunion of their family. May you have peace and comfort knowing they are with the Lord. Blessings.
