Dennis Jenkins Obituary
Dennis Jenkins, 74, was born Dec 20, 1946, & transcended to his spiritual home Feb 11, 2021, to be with the people who left a hole in his heart; as evidenced by the fact he never stopped mourning their loss. They were Cora Jenkins (Momma), Paul and Peewee (brothers), Dorothy, and Paula (daughter). Equally important, was the USMC which he credited with saving his life. Dennis became a Marine at 17 & found not only purpose but true brotherhood. He earned the Bronze Star for service in Vietnam & was loyal to a fault. If he loved you, there was nothing he wouldn't do for you. Dennis was raised in the Greenview Community in Chicago & maintained lifelong friendships; especially with Claude & Willie. He was a supervisor @ Hines VA Hospital where he worked until retirement.
Survivors whose lives are forever changed due to his demise are: Frieda (his loving wife), Mickey his sister (Bobby), Sean & Rachel (children), Ruben, Sydney, Jimmie Ann, Judy, & Denise (cousins), Gwen, Lachell, and Tiffany (nieces), & many other family members. Dennis's ashes will be spread around Camp Pendleton.

He truly was a very nice guy. We worked together at Hines DPC for more than a decade. He retired and left without any fanfare yet a man for all seasons.
