Its been 8 months now that Denny left all of us and finally at peace. A day never goes by without remembering that funny laughter he had or those off beat jokes he would tell you. For all of you who wrote and/or sent cards, I Thank You for remembering what Denny brought into your friendships through the years. I met Denny 24yrs ago and when he was at a low point time of his life,a special friendship was established. He enriched our lives with long lasting friendships all the way ubtil his passing. I made a promise to him when he became ill and kept that promise to the very end. I was was with him to the very end and hope that I was able to give his family some comfort and a peace of mind that someone was with him since they weren't able be here.
My Deepest Sympathy and my Sorrow goes out to his family. I'll miss that special bond we shared throughout the years and given the privilge to meet his mother and connie, bart,bj,tom & robin and talk with peg. I Thank you for sharing Denny with me.

I was very sad to receive the email that Sunday advising me of Denny's passing. I was even more upset to know that I was going to be out of town when his services were to take place this past Thursday.

I met Denny back in 1994 at the CFMC Radio Expo. The reason why I remember this so vividly is because at the HAM fest, Denny bought a motorized toy rubber rat that was stuck in a rat trap (a fine chinese toy import). He bought batteries for it & we all watched as this thing flipped arount in it's death-throws as Denny, myself & all of the FishFAR clan almost start to pass out from laughter.

Denny was such an inpiration,
"Elmer", friend & brother in RF to me. I am glad to have known him as long as I did & was able to meet David, "Porky" & "Andy" as well as many of his other friends. Both my wife & I will miss hearing "This is N9KRO, K9KRO or W9KRO" on the radio in that wonderfully unique raspy-piped voice of his.

Words can't express how sad I am about missing such a great person but even more joy to know that he his is a much greater place living in parallel within all of our heart, mind & souls.

My sympathy goes out to his family & the rest of his friends.

I will miss you loads my friend!!

My thoughts and prayers go out to David, and all Denny's Family and Friends. I had the pleasure of meeting Denny over 23 years ago. We have been friends ever since. I am always going to remember him, with his terrific witty sense of humor, wisdom, and a heart as big as the South Side itself, A caring heart, that he showed all those around him. After I moved far away, we always kept in touch. I'm grateful to have been his friend. Dennis you will be missed.

My brother Denny will be forever in our hearts and for sure our faith gives us peace in knowing he is free and walking streets of gold forever with our heavenly father. We will have our intimate family time putting him again at rest at our parents grave site in July.

It was Denny who got my enthusiasm up enough to take the Ham radio course and get my License. Without his encouragement and support, I might've never gotten through it. N9KSG

Denny is a one of a kind I'll never forget.

He's among the top of people I've met on amateur radio.

When I worked driving nights, he really kept me awake with his priceless humor.

Thanks you Denny the memories!!

Denny you were one of the few people that always saw the best in people, and never saw the negative. We met thru the club, and talked to me when I was at my lowest. But you brought your silver lining with you, and I would never be living where I am today, without you. Your Heart shined with a diamond sparkle.

I first met Denny on 2 meters when he would check in on my CFMC net control night.

Later through the years, we met at several ham fests.

Got to know him, and enjoyed listening to his military experiences.

Amateur Radio, and all of us, will miss his voice and contributions over the radio frequencies.

Denny was a great friend who made me laugh for hours, while we sat in the breakfast nook, at my house on Byron. He was a man, who was truly of a pure heart, who had the best of everyones interest, before his own. He will be missed.

I met Denny through the airways of Amateur Radio. He later told me he was a veteran and went to the same hospital where I worked . Denny was a kind hearted spirit, with a smile one his face. He was always ready to enter into a QSO with me and talk VA talk. There is a hole where Denny was on this earth and he will never be replaced. I will cherish my memories of him. R.I.P., my friend.
