To Deneen's family and friends-

I had the pleasure of working with Deneen the summer after our freshmen year at BU. We worked closely on FYSOP. She was such a joy and pleasure to work with because of her determined and energetic attitude.

Deneen will always stay close to my heart and prayers. She has touched so many people in her life, and for that, she will NEVER be forgotten.

I'll miss you, Deneen. Rest in peace.

Love, Karly

My thoughts and prayers are with all of Deneen's family and friends.

I had the pleasure of getting to know Deneen as a Sargent College student as well as a Resident Assistant at Boston University. When Deneen was taking Anatomy and Physiology of the Speech Mechanism, I was running the exam review sessions. I will forever remember that whenever her classmates were struggling with a difficult concept, Deneen always lightened the mood and encouraged her classmates with her amazing sense of humor! As staff members for the Office of Residence Life, we gave Admission's Open House tours together. She had such an affable personality. She immediately connected with incoming students and eased the fears of their parents. She brought a smile to the face of everyone who knew her. She will be greatly missed.

I like to think that each one of us has been created as a gift from God. Perhaps while we are here, we learn to recognize and use the gifts bestowed upon us. Deneen was a young woman who just seemed to know and share her gifts! Her gifts of energy, love, compassion and service just poured out of her. When I think about Deneen's short life, I am of course saddened; however, at the same time I smile knowing that she made a remarkable difference and has touched so many people.

Most of all, I will always remember her beautiful smile.

For all of those mourning--may God send you comfort and peace during this heart wrenching time. May Deneen--and her mom--be rejoicing in the glory of heaven.

Deneen was one of the RA's I worked with at BU. She had a way of raising everyone's spirit simply by her presence. Her love of life, friends, and family will sorely be missed. I will forever have her with me in thought and prayer.

Daneen and I worked together closely as resident assistants at Boston University this past year. It was always a joy to be around her. She had the brightest spirit and a truly open heart. Her caring and willingness to help others was a shining example; her sense of humor always got me going. It was truly a pleasure to have known her.

May her memory be eternal.

To all who were fortunate to know Deneen better than I had a chance to, I am deeply sorry for your loss and hope that you find comfort in this difficult time. As a fellow student, I am very glad I had the opportunity to meet Deneen and see her graduate from Boston University and honored for her accomplishments. I met Deneen freshman year and we got along very well but sadly didn't see each other very much during our time together at BU.

Although she has done so much for Boston University in many areas, what I will remember most is that she always smiled and said Hello to me whenever I saw her. I really wish that I got to know her better.

During her time with us, Deneen proved to be a very special person devoted to serving fellow students, excelling in studies working to help people. She majored in communication disorders, focusing on helping people with speech difficulties.

I think if all of us who knew Deneen could try to give a bit extra of ourselves, as Deneen did, to help others, perhaps we could touch as many lives as she would have if she were still with us.

Sincerely,

Denise Regan

When I first met deneen, I knew she would change the world. She had drive, confidence, and courage stronger than other freshmen in her class.

May her strengths continue to thrive in all the people she touched. And through her legacy, we can continue the change she wanted to see.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you all. Deneen was a wonderful addition to the student staff at the Office of Financial Assistance at BU. She was sweet, helpful and always thinking of others. The Boston University community, and the world in general, has been a much nicer place because of her courageous spirit and her thoughtful ways.
