To Deb's family,
I had the wonderful opportunity to work with Deb at National Car Rental in the early 80's. It was my first job I held directly from college and Deb became my mentor. I think I reconciled every bank statement there ever was. We became good friends, along with Jeanie and enjoyed our times together at work and outside of work. Jeanie emailed me and told me of the sad news. Deb was such a kind, caring and wonderful person that she will be deeply missed by all of us who had the opportunity to know and love her. My deepest sympathy to the family. I will always remember Deb as one of the nicest people I have ever met.

Greg, Miles, & Anne-
My deepest sympathy and thoughts are extended to you and your family. I was at the service for Deb on Friday and I thought it was a wonderful and uplifting tribute to such a special person. You could just feel Deb's presence around us as we celebrated her life. I met Deb over 25 years ago at National Car Rental. I looked down the pew at her service and there were around 10 of us that worked together at National and have known each other probably 15-30 years. It was a neat feeling and fun to share our memories of Deb. Deb was at my benefit last year when I was struggling with Leukemia. I remember how much it meant to me at the time to see her, Jill, and Chris, as I had not seen them for several years. It means even more to me now and I am so glad that I sat and talked to Deb as we tried to catch up on our lives. I will cherish the time that night spent talking to her and I will always remember the sweet and kind person that Deb was in our lives. Please take care of each other and hold Deb's wonderful memories close to your hearts.

Greg and kids,
I gave this poem to Deb, written by my husband, shortly after hearing of her illness. She so enjoyed it, I want to share some of it again.
When we are lonely, He gives us companionship.
When we are tired, He gives us strength.
When we are afraid, He stands beside us.
When we are sad, He gives us time to heal.
When we are anything at all, He is there for us.
Such is His promise, and our salvation, so hold to Him, and He will carry you yet again.
Sending support and love, Nancy & Johnn Schroeder
