I miss you Dawnie. I wish you were here to see everything that has happened. I have had such an exciting week. I have been thinking about you everyday, especially with your birthday coming up. I wanted to thank you again for everything you got me for Christmas this year. My kitchen looks wonderful with all the utensils and dishes you bought me. It all fits in so nicely. I hope you can still visit me in my apartment from where you are. You did promise you would. Nana is still going to come down one weekend, too, so you'll have to come when she does. I miss you so much. I wish I could tell you again how much I love you. I didn't spend as much time with you as I should have, but I can spend all the time in the world with you now. I just hope you hear me. Please stay with me. I need you still. I love you and I'll talk to you again soon.

To all of Dawn's family,
I am so sorry to hear of Dawn's passing. It brings tears to my eyes but a smile on my face because I was so blessed to have known her. She was a great person and a great fighter. I was blessed to have been there when she got her second chance of life at Loyola. She was always cheerful and full of positive energy. She always had a smile when I saw her- I just wish I could have seen her more often. I will keep her in my prayers and ask mom to look after her until we all can meet again. God bless all of you and know that she is smiling down upon you with her beautiful smile knowing that she was loved very much! I miss all of you and take care of yourselves as you did for Dawn. XOXO

Dawn,
I will never forget all the times I carried to the parades, fire works, softball games, etc.. I never minded or got mad about doing that for you, it was my pleasure. Were and always will be a terrific sister. I miss you very much and I promise I will look after Mom for you. Its just not the same knowing that your not here in person anymore. You will never be forgotten by anyone that you have ever touched in the very full but way too short time you where you were with us. With that being said you should know that I will carry you one last time. In my head and in my heart, FOREVER!!!!! I Love You Pumpkin.

From the day Dawnie was born she captivated your heart with her winning smile..she taught us all the true meaning of strength, determination, and will power..she never showed her pain she would just remind us she was strong as bull with a thumbs up attitude and her winning smile..God saw her fight but also felt her pain and knew it was time to take her home...she was so much a part of our lives and deeply loved by her family and friends..her smile could brighten up a dark room and dark moments in life..But i know that if the sun is shining or the night sky has a brighter star that thats our Dawnie she will always be with us..love you a million billion trillion ..Uncle Chuck & Aunt Donna

To the Hilt family, Sometimes we don;t understand why those that we love so much are taken from us so early. But it has been said that once we are no longer walking on this earth that we are in a better place, and someday we will all meet again. Not a day will go on where Dawn is not thought of.Her memory will be in our hearts until we see her again. She is loved and missed greatly, and she will never truly be gone, for she is in the hearts of those she loved, and those who loved her.she has touched the lives of so many people she can never be forgotten.
