Ventura, David L. "Dave" Age 90, late of Hegewisch and formerly of South Chicago, passed away March 26, 2017. Devoted son of the late Everesto and late Rita Lara Ventura; former husband of Ercille Ventura; loving father of the late Gloria Vega, Isabel (late Thomas) Herrera, Robert Rodriguez, Frank (Adele) Rodriguez, Larry Ventura, David (Nancy) Ventura, Angie Valdivia, Ramona (Luis Galvan) Ventura and Renee (Luci Ochoa) Ventura; dear stepfather of James (Suki) Baker, Cheryl (Kim) Adams and Karen (John) Koziarski; cherished grandfather of 34; adored great-grandfather and great-great-grandfather of many; dear brother of the late Celia Garcia, Angie (Eddie) DeLeon-Ventura, late Mary (late Frank) Arrendando, late Everesto (late Dora) Ventura, late Rita (late Joseph) Mayorga, Ramona (Lorenzo) Rodriguez and the late Margie Ventura; fond uncle of many nieces and nephews. Dave was a retired employee of U.S. Steel after 35 years of service, an active member of the South Chicago YMCA and always enjoyed having a good time listening to music and dancing.
