David Slotnick Obituary

Slotnick, David J. 99, of Arlington Heights, Illinois, passed away November 18th, 2018 at Northwest Community Hospital. He was born in Toledo, Ohio to Phillip and Mary (nee Applebaum) Slotnick. Dave graduated from Woodward High School and the University of Toledo. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. After his honorable discharge, he worked for many years as an accountant for the Jewish Federation in Chicago. He enjoyed connecting with people, and was very outgoing. He spent over twenty years volunteering; he taught English as a second language to immigrants. His impact on people was felt from the moment they met him. He will be greatly missed. He was preceded in death by his parents, his beloved wife Evelyn (Goldberg) of 28 years, and all of his siblings. He is survived by cousins, several nieces and nephews, and many great-nieces and great-nephews. Funeral service Friday, 11:00 a.m., at Shalom Memorial Park, 1700 W. Rand Rd.
