I was David's friend and then his roommate for almost two years at North Park College in Chicago (@1983- 1984). I can safely say he is one of my 3 closest friends ever. We lost touch @30 years ago...and have been searching Facebook for years...for him. Today I Google searched him and found he had passed away...I cannot stop crying quite frankly. He was such an amazing person and friend! There is so much to say about him- I could write a book! We had some amazing faith discussions as he is Jewish and I am a Christian. I learned a lot from him and found he could quote the New Testament! I can only imagine the blessing he was to his patients. But, I am not surprised. I am quite certain that I will see David again. What a day that will be! I had hoped for an earlier reunion but it will be worth the wait! My blessings to his family. He always made me feel a part of it and I was grateful for it. Peace!!

I am saddened to learn of David's passing. We met when he came to KCOM for medical school. I will always remember his warm smile and gentle manner -- he was a genuinely kind person and a fantastic doctor. He brightened the day of everyone he came in contact with and helped many people during his time in Kirksville.

My cousin David was a kind goodhearted soul who loved his family and believed in giving back to humankind. I knew this meeting him as a child hearing his words and seeing his actions and wish I had had the opportunity to spend more time with him. Rest in peace my friend, my blood. You are surely with the angels.

Dr Magill was a physician I worked with at NYU. He was one of the most passionate, empathetic, caring physicians I had the pleasure of knowing. He loved his patients as his own children. That was evident to everybody. We are all devastated to learn of his tragic, untimely passing. May the beautiful memories you have all shared carry you through this painful time. And may he always be remembered as the kind and selfless caregiver, son, brother, husband and father that he truly was. May he rest in peace.

My sincere condolences to the Magill Mishpucha, his wife and children.
To me David was friendly, sincere, sharing, a skier and saver of many lives. --a very fine boy and a great man.
I have many memories of hanging out with David, on a few Sunday afternoons when we were very young, David and I sold newspapers in front of the Jewel Grocery at the corner of Clark and Belden in Chicago. It was a great Chicago experience that I will remember forever. He was at my Bar mitzvah and wedding and I will miss him deeply.
Sincerely,
Ken Margolis
