It is impossible for me to express the emptiness in my heart. A song written by Avril Lavigne and dedicated to the memory of her grandfather best expresses my feelings. "I miss you, I miss you so bad, I don't forget you, oh it's so sad. I hope you hear me, I remember it clearly. The day you slipped away, was the day I found it won't be the same. I didn't get around to kiss you goodbye on the hand, I wish that I could see you again, I know that I can't. I've had my wake up, won't you wake up, I keep asking why. I can't take it, it wasn't fake, it happened, you passed by." I love you, David.

David and I went to George Washington High School together. We graduated together, and he was one of my best friends, and later, my brother-in-law. I am shocked and terribly saddened. His spirit was always free and astonishing. Though I had not seen him since 1992, and we did not keep in touch, I will remember...I will always remember!

My big brother and everlasting friend, David was known for his sense of humor and practical jokes,

but he also had a wonderfully affectionate and loving nature. I love and miss him very much.
