David Ladd Obituary

David Daniel Ladd David Daniel Ladd was born on June 22, 1959, and passed away on Thursday, July 11, 2013, at the age of 54. His sister, Ellyn Ladd, and daughter, Alexandra Ladd, were at his side. David lived in Ridgefield, Connecticut and Harwich, Massachusetts on Cape Cod. He then moved to Northfield, Massachusetts in 1972 and graduated from Northfield Mount Hermon in 1977. After graduation David moved to northern New Hampshire where he met his future wife, Heidi Acker Ladd. They then travelled the country and landed in Carmel, California before moving to Virginia to raise a family. His latest passion was sailing which was ignited by his years on the cape where he became fascinated with the ocean. A most recent goal was to sail on the ocean for a long trip. Other lifelong interests were computers and Saab car engines. David could fix anything! His last place of employment was at Inova Solutions in Charlottesville, Virginia. He will be remembered with the fondest of memories by his family and friends. He was free spirited, intelligent, and the most loving father. He is survived by his mother, Mary-Anne Ladd; his siblings, Ellyn and Eric Ladd; his daughters, Gretchen and Alexandra Ladd; and by Heidi Ladd. His family would like to thank the Martha Jefferson Oncology Department for their dedication and care. A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date.
