David Holmquist Obituary
Holmquist, David J. 54 yrs., USAF Vietnam Veteran. At peace after a 7 year courageous battle with cancer. Beloved husband of Sharon (nee Jones), loving father of Scott (Angela) and Kelly (Mitchel) Lopez, dear son of the late Robert and Florence, loving papa of Kayla, Isabel and Alexandra, fond brother of Linda (Greg) Schmitt, Susan (Ron) Boomsma, Karen (Jim) Speis, Lori Siegrist and the late Robert D. Holmquist, uncle of many nieces and nephews. Visitation Friday, from 2 to 9 p.m., with a chapel service at 7 p.m., at Drumm Funeral Home, 1200 E. 162nd St. (pne blk. west of I-94 on US Rt. 6-159th), South Holland. Interment private. Member of Local #134 I.B.E.W. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred. Info: 708-333-0011.

Sharon and children and grandchildren my prayers are with
you all, I'm sorry for not being able to attend the friday night services but I just felt that my
presence would trigger memories
that would bring sharon to tears.
I want to remember David as the
guy who my brother shared laughs
and compared treatments and medications with, I want to remember
Dave as the guy who gave my brother
strength when he needed it. I felt
they were encouragment for each other. sharon you and dave also helped me alot during the long hours
we spent up at u of c 6th floor
and when my brother was on the table
ready to recieve his first radiation
treatment I was on the other side
and dave was explaining to me what was going on. and then tells me hey
he's tuff he going to be alright. alot
to be said for these two guys one a
white sox fan the other a cub fan if
2 people can overlook that and still
look after each other that shows how
special and caring these 2 guys were
take care of your self sharon enjoy
you children and grandchildren as
I know that is what Dave wished for
you. my prayers, my thoughts are with you. connie santos ritchies sister.
