Remembering a great friend on his birthday. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you remembering him this day as well. I met Dave playing spades online under the nickname of Merlin. What an adventure knowing him was.
I met a magical man one day.
The Merlin of storybooks, He did portray.
With His Mystical air, those who knew Him would say…
One sweep of His Wand wiped all troubles away.
Through the lands, As He Wandered, His purpose seemed clear,
Seizing the moment while spreading good cheer.
Yes, Each day filled with sunshine once He did appear.
A laugh , Where before, there was only a cry.
A push , When there was no will to try.
A story, To teach in an innocent way.
A game, When there was no other to play .
Mesmerizing to watch, Entertaining to hear.
Time spent with that Magical Man, I endear.
A true renaissance man ,He was thru and thru
Barbaric in nature with Smooches that flew
Hard on the outside, With a heart lined in gold
Sometimes too soft , And Sometimes too bold
Nobly he struggled, Thru his own duel with life
Never weighing one down with his worries or strife
The pain kept inside was a pain that few knew
Then this Magical life, God, it ended too soon
He vanished away, the pain it runs deep
But forever inside of my heart here I’ll keep,
All those pieces of Magic He left here for me.
Our friendship on earth, has come to an end.
Forever I’ll Miss Him, Good-bye my dear friend
I’ll reminisce always, write your name in the sand
Rest in peace, God be with you,
You Magical Man

I met Dave "MAGIC" on line in a game room. We became dear friends from the first hello. He meant much more to me than someone to play spades with. We talked a lot. And he shared with me his pain and his fears. I loved the joy of life that he expressed in everything he said and did. My most sincere sympathies to his family. He will not be forgotten. He will be forever missed.

Although I never met Dave Sr., I know his son David. I work with Dave at UPS. I wanted to extend my sympathies to Dave and his family. Dave, your father must have been a wonderful man to produce a son who is so kind and caring. You and your family will be in my thoughts and prayers.

Dave and I worked together a few years ago. He was a wonderful co-worker and friend. A few of my siblings worked with us as well and Dave truly became part of our family too. He always knew how to make people laugh and how to make the best out of any situation. He will be greatly missed. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family.
Love,
Stacy Berendt & the Ferguson Family

I met David through his son, Anthony. When I met him, my favorite baseball team (the Redsox) had just beaten his favorite team (the Yankees) in the world series. We had such a good time digging at one another about each other's team. I made a good friend that day. I will truly miss him and every time I watch the Yankees play, I will think of him.
Love and best wishes to his family.
